Company 4 Christmas

Not everyone is going to be able to be with family and friends on Christmas so a blogger over at RuleofStupid has come up with a great idea to host a place where folks can hang out on Christmas and have a conversation.  I first read about it at Rarasaur’s blog and thought it was such a great idea !!!  A lot of folks don’t have the chance to be with loved ones on Christmas and this would be a great place to hang out with some volunteers who will keep a conversation going.   This is what it is all about:

RoS used to work with people separated from families, and they always struggled most around Christmas time. Being isolated is much harder when all the seasonal TV and media push the image of happy families and picture postcard lives, however unrealistic a lot of it may be.

People often feel like everyone is happy and together, so who wants to hear someone being unhappy?!

It can be hard to reach out. So RoS started this Blog, to see if maybe some fellow bloggers would be there to talk to around Christmas for others who are separated from loved ones.

So stop on by and click here on December 25th if you want to join in the fun!

Sounds like it would be very helpful for those without a close family.

Great idea. My daughter just left to return to Wisconsin. But so happy to have her back for a few days before Christmas. Friends who can’t be with family are hosting Christmas Eve dinners so she will have a place to hang out this evening.
