Five Things I am Passionate About

  1. My faith and belief in God.
  2. My family—close and extended.  I could not imagine life without them.
  3. Being kind to others—it is a very simple thing to do.
  4. Comments for a Cause—THE best thing I do on my blog.
  5. Staying connected with people who have meant something to me in my life—–too often we let friendships go by the wayside and with social media and technology it is so easy to stay connected today.

5 Things I Would Like to Do Before I DIe

  1. Make a trip to England. I originally wanted to have tea with the Queen but. sadly I waited too long for that to happen.
  2. Write a book of some sorts—I know I keep saying this but someday I really do think it will happen even if it is simply a compilation of blog posts.
  3. Make a trip to Alaska — which I believe is the last state I have yet to visit.
  4. Ride in a hot air balloon.
  5. Meet as many of my “imaginary friends” as I possibly can.

5 Things I Say A Lot

  1. “It’s Just Life”
  2. “Stop Licking Me”—-(I have a cat that is constantly giving me a bath.)
  3. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
  4. “Excuse me?” (My hearing may not be what it used to be.)
  5. “I love you.”   (Can never say it too much in my humble opinion.)

5 Books or Magazines I Have Read Lately

  1. “Our State Magazine” (North Carolina)
  2. “The Japanese Lover” by Isabel Allende
  3. “The Stories We Tell: Every Piece of Your Story Matters” by Joanna Gaines
  4. “Thank You for Listening” by Julia Whelan
  5. “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelly Van Pelt

5 Favorite Movies

  1. “The Big Chill”
  2. “The Breakfast Club”
  3. “Peanut Butter Falcon”
  4. “A Man Called Otto”
  5. “Shawshank Redemption”

    Very fun post BA!
Maybe you can have tea with Harry & Meghan🤪
What would I like to do while I still can? Go on another big road trip, have a grandchild (can’t really control that, can I?) Get a sewing machine!!

I learned some new things about you in reading your lists. So thankful our friendship has grown from initially connecting via blogging, then that library visit and then many more in-person get togethers. Love you, my friend! And Happy National Hot Tea Day!

A good blog indeed. I do hope you and Chris get to go to Alaska. Chuck & I were there in 2001 on our 25th Anniversary. We decided to take a cruise and it truly is God’s country.

Fun to read about your 5 faves! I’m with you on that trip to Alaska. Friends of ours who’ve been there say it is absolutely amazingly beautiful. And I’d love to visit England too and see my family’s ancestral home. By the way I just finished reading a biography of Queen Elizabeth II – The Queen: Her Life by Andrew Morton – and found it fascinating. Have you read it yet?

Meet your e-friends? I’m only a few hours away! Cafe and gift shop people would like to meet you too…especially if you do a book! (They’re not into the Virginia-OR-North-Carolina malarkey, I’m glad to say. Several are from Tennessee so they’re into “Southern.”)

Old Girls in Low Cotton

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
