Glimpses of Spring

17 Comments/ 76/ 0

Spring is coming.

I promise.

I see glimpses of it everywhere I look.

Today I saw more glimpses than I photographed.  There were daffodils and trees budding.

It’s coming.

Honest.

I captured a couple of flowers on the Lenten rose plants that the deer leave alone.

The rhododendron are budding and soon there will be explosions of color everywhere.

The forsythia is popping out and even though the blooms were sparse on this particular bush there were pops of yellow that made me smile.

We ran into a couple when we were hiking Tuesday who hailed from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  We agreed that we did not miss the snow that Iowa is having right now at all.

Keep the faith.  Spring is coming.  It really is.

Have you seen any signs of spring?

Finally! I hear it’s 19 in Michigan though. We’re in Tampa where it was raining and 60s yesterday.

Well we have rain today (big surprise) but at least it is fairly warm at the moment. Colder air on its way but the glimpses of spring help a lot.

Absolutely no signs of spring here in southeastern Minnesota. Fresh layer of snow on the ground this morning. I’m heading out to shovel soon. Sigh.

But thank you for sharing your spring with me. There is hope.

No signs of spring here yet – it’s been staying cold. I’m hopeful March changes the weather. I’d like to take my early morning walk without being bundled up in bulky winter jacket, hat, warm sweatpants (sometimes with leggings underneath), gloves, and a scarf wrapped around my neck!!

A few signs in VA Beach, VA. Few flowering trees are almost in full bloom. With your pictures of spring I am more anxious than ever for spring.
