Gonna Have To Do Some DNA Testing at the House Today!

10 Comments/ 2534/ 0

Can you do that on a cat?  I am not sure.  And I am not sure that I actually want to follow through with it, anyway.  I have narrowed the culprit down to either one of two–Buddy or Holly.  Don’t be too impressed by my Nancy Drew abilities –I have two cats so I know it had to be one of the two!!

So I got up this morning and was getting all prepared for my Friday adventures when I decided there is no time like the present to do the daily cat scoopage duties.  Now it is not one of my favorite things to do but I have persnickety cats who kind of like to have a clean litter box so I do what I can do to oblige.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that they had kicked a huge mound of litter outside the box.  What is up with that, kitties??? Come on!!!

Upon further investigation I discovered a red ribbon hanging out of the box…..and yes….to it was attached a pile of poo.

Obviously one of my felines ate a ribbon and pooed it out.  I blame it on my brother in law, Carl.  I was wrapping his birthday present to mail it out and had the red ribbon out.  I guess one piece went astray without me knowing it.  Hmmm.  And it got into the mouth and later intestines of one of the above culprits.  So….who do you think???  Buddy or Holly?   My money is on Buddy since he had a “string adventure” at age 4 months to the tune of $1000.

Let me know who you think it was—I will let you all know the DNA results when they come in.
