Happy Valentine’s Day

17 Comments/ 3433/ 0

Happy Valentine’s Day to one and all today!  I am spending the day with my sweetheart who came home for the weekend from the sunny skies of Alabama.  Seems appropriate that my guest post for Sara over at It’s All in An Iowa Mom’s Day is up today about the things that I am trying to like about winter in the midwest.

Go ahead—click here to go directly to that post to read my list and maybe add some of your own!

Enjoy your day and remember that “Owl always love you” for leaving a comment.  Comments for a Cause this month goes to Room to Read.

Was this your breakfast this morning? If so, I’m impressed.

I’m glad Chris could be home with you in Iowa this weekend.

Randy and I are spending our Vaentine’s Day in the basement scraping paint from clay tile walls. Fun times.

Ugh–that sounds horrible. I am sorry! You need to do something fun to counteract that work — maybe a nice dinner?
I made the eggs (thanks to a cute mold) for Chris for breakfast in bed and we are having a nice home cooked meal tonight as well. Last night was ham balls–one of his favorites that we have not had for years!!! Finally found a good place to get them.
Stay warm and do something fun for an hour at least!

that looks so neat. actually Left Brain is the breakfast guru around here – but sadly he is at work all weekend, so our romantic day will actually be Next weekend. and I am hoping we will be somewhere that our breakfast will be delivered to us in bed!!

Glad that your Valentine’s Day will still happen even if it is a bit late. Breakfast in bed provided by someone else sounds fabulous!

Thanks, Donna! The owl eggs turned out pretty cute, didn’t they? We have had a fabulous weekend and I am sad that it is ending today. Good news is that I am flying down for a week on Friday. Yippee.

Glad you liked the breakfast picture. It was gobbled up by my sweet hubby. How can you lose with heart shaped scones and owl eggs, right?
