I found Jesus on my driveway today.
I didn’t expect to . I wasn’t exactly looking for Him. But I found Him.

There He was. But I didn’t realize it until I looked closer.

There He was. Just a tiny little postage stamp sized picture of Jesus looking up at me from the asphalt. Apparently it had been wedged in an antique dresser that Chris and I had drug out to clean up before we transported it to Ohio to give to Chris’s sister. We have had the dresser for probably 25 years and after numerous cleanings and moves I had never seen this tiny picture of Jesus. It must have fallen out when I was cleaning it and turning the drawers upside down to get all the nooks and crannies.
So what do you do when Jesus shows up on your driveway?
You thank God for the reminder that He is ALWAYS with you. No matter what the situation or circumstance – HE is the constant in a topsy turvy world that does not always make sense. HE is the source of comfort and compassion. HE is the rock upon which I lean.
God never ceases to surprise me. Just when I need a reminder He shows up to remind me of His presence.
This time He showed up in a tiny little picture turned upside down on my driveway. Now I wonder where He will turn up next.

EXACTLY! I did need it and that little picture now has a place on my fridge as a reminder.
A perfect place for it. xo
This is so great! And that picture of Jesus is the first one I remember from my childhood. I love how sweet God is with His reminders!
This was always the image that I bring to mind from my childhood as well. Even if it is probably not really what our Jesus looked like it is the image that brings me such comfort and memories of seeing it in houses everywhere.
Another God sighting! Love those. I’ve been trying to see God in every moment during Lent. Good way to keep him in view.
Thanks, Karen–it is a God sighting!
I’m glad you saw Him!
Me, too!!!!
Oh, how I love this post, Beth Ann! Just like God’s goodness to give you a reminder that He is always with us, even when we can’t “see” HIm. He is faithful to the promises He makes to us and is “close to the broken-hearted,” (Psalm 34:18)
Don’t you just love when God leaves us little reminders? I certainly can use all the encouragement I can get these days so this was exactly what I needed . Thanks for your kind words.
I showed mom (who’s 83) this blog and she said she remembers these stamps. Her grandmother had some and was saving them.
Thanks for sharing Beth Ann!
I am happy that you shared with your mom! It was such a common picture years ago and I know it meant a great deal to me to see it again in a very unexpected way and place. It definitely made me stop and count my blessings.
Goosebumps are rising on my arms. This is amazing. What a gift from God. To see the face of Christ on your driveway during this Holy Week. This is definitely a “God thing.” Thank you for sharing this story, one of my favorite ever posted by you, dear friend.
Thank you, Audrey. Of course when it happened I looked Chris and said “I found Jesus on the driveway” to which he responded “blog post?”. Yes. Of course. Because it was just such a wonderful moment in a time of sadness and trying times. I needed that reminder and God delivered. Just like he always does.
Amen! Note exclamation mark.
Awesome tale, Beth Ann, and perfect for Holy Week! There’s just no telling what (or who) we’ll find when we keep our eyes open. Thanks for sharing this one!
It was perfect for Holy Week, wasn’t it? Keeping my eyes open for more God moments.
This is what I call a Kingdom Moment. Truly blessed moments. What a beautiful moment for you, Beth Ann. To found this the week of Easter too, is amazing. Our God is a awesome God. Wonderful blog on Easter Week. Thank you for sharing.
Kingdom Moment –that is a perfect description! Thanks for your sweet thoughts!
Love this! And what perfect timing during Holy Week. He is always with us!
Thank you!!! I think it is the perfect time and the perfect reminder as well.
I love those little random reminders. They always come at just the right time. We all need those tiny miracles once in a while.
Yes! This was just the reminder I needed during a time of sadness and I am so grateful I took the time to acknowledge it for what it was.
What a wonderful reminder that he’s thinking of you. I bet he knew you needed him.
I think you are right! I need a God moment and reminder and He provided it. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! Kind of eerie, but so comforting!
It was kind of eerie! But pretty neat when I realized what it was!
