It Came! It Came!

6 Comments/ 3029/ 0

Imagine my excitement when the doorbell rang and my “postie” handed me an airmail package!!!  Yippee!!  I had been promised that something was coming and I was holding out hope that my friend, Gillian, had sent me some delectable morsels of Australian goodness.

I looked at the package and saw that yes indeed—there were chocolate bikkies inside!!!  Unopened bikkies to be more precise and I knew that my friend had taken my not so subtle  hint and mailed me out of the goodness of her heart some wonderful Tim Tams!!!  Yay!!!

Not one but TWO packages of delight!!!   I was beyond myself!  Two new flavors boasting my favorite dark chocolate coating.  Yummo!!!   The mint would be devoured I was sure but not too sure about the rum raisin flavor….hmm…..

Hubby was texted a picture and he was excited too!!! I am not alone in my love of the Tim Tam!   After dinner we broke into the packages—realizing of course that each bikkie was around 90 calories.  Add that to my totals for the day and I went over my daily goal but hey–it was all for the scientific experiment of it all.

Can’t you just almost taste that chocolatey mint goodness??? It was delish!!!  Believe me!  I could have eaten the entire package but I showed restraint!  For once in my life!

And the ooey gooey goodness of the rum raisin was surprisingly good!!  Yum!!!

So my day was complete!  Thanks to the wonderful friendship across the miles I was the recipient of one of those random acts of kindness.  How wonderful!   I have been blessed!  Now I am wracking my brain trying to come up with some American goodie that I can send back.  Any suggestions out there??? I would love to have the perfect thing to send back!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!   All suggestions welcome and maybe, just maybe, there will be something in it for the person who comes up with the winning idea of what to send back!!!   You know I love giveaways and I haven’t done one in forever!  So leave me a comment and we will go from there!!!   In the meantime—do you think I could get away with having a Tim Tam for breakfast???

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
