Just Give Me Good Old Pen and Paper

15 Comments/ 519/ 0

I am a fan of the good old fashioned pen and paper. Now mind you – I LOVE technology. I love my MacBook Air. I love all things that make my life easier and my computer definitely does that for me. I can’t imagine being in 2020 without some type of computer.

However, I must admit that there are times when the good old fashioned pen and paper are my top choice. I have a very unorganized system of keeping my addresses organized . I “thought” it was organized and that I had a good record until I checked my phone and discovered that with updates my contacts seemed to have gotten a little wonky. That is the technical term for not correct for those of you who don’t know my lingo.

So I am on a quest to update things a bit and have already started asking people for the millionth time what their address is. My plan is to not only record it in my phone and on my mailing list but to also get an organized written method that I can eyeball without the means of technology. Now, of course this may just mean I print out something that is on my computer but at least I will have a hard copy, right? Because it distresses me to not have it all organized.

In other news it seems that requests are on the uptick to post on my blog. I usually just ignore those requests that come in as they are usually spam or sent by bots. Most of them have absolutely nothing to do with my little blog here and would have no value. The few times I have blogged for profit it hasn’t really felt all that great. Being a part of sponsored trips is great and a lot of fun but I honestly don’t seek them out. As my friend Jeni from JeniEats says — we are recreational bloggers. I am unwilling to let someone else write content for my blog because quite frankly – I have enough of my own stuff to say. “Smile”

So pardon me while I dust off my pen and paper and go jot down some meaningful words for a later post. But first – let me watch my hummingbirds a bit. See you next week right back here on It’s Just Life – where we find the extraordinary in the ordinary every single day.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
