Kindness Pandemic

18 Comments/ 454/ 0

A kindness pandemic is a good kind of pandemic to have. It has been one crazy year in 2020 but everywhere I am able to see the kindness that people are sharing with one another. Whether it is donating to a fundraiser for school supplies, shopping local and supporting small businesses or simply just being a good human being – it all counts.

I know a lot of my readers do a lot of things that go a long way in the kindness category and that makes me so happy. So many of you out there think of others in so many wonderful and unique ways and I have noticed. Don’t think I haven’t.

I have gotten a lot of really sweet and thoughtful cards and letters since the beginning of the year. Each one that comes truly blesses me. It is one thing that I continually try to do myself in an effort to lift others up during difficult and trying times.

One blogging friend recently truly blessed me with a couple of her notes – complete with adorable watercolor pictures that have become her way to cheer up others during this time of weirdness in the world. I absolutely love them and I love that Dawn from Change is Hard has developed a truly unique and special way to reach out to others during this time. Her beautiful little paintings are cheerful and magical and they are bringing much joy to the recipients.

Thanks, Dawn, for the lovely gifts and for doing your part, using your talents, sharing the love across the miles. I am truly grateful.

What kindnesses have your experienced recently? Have you been a recipient of a small kindness? Have you shared of yourself in a way you haven’t until recently with others? I would love to hear all about it in the comments so please Comment for a Cause – Transylvania Christian Ministry – Sharing House.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
