Chris and I went to Blowing Rock, NC for a quick birthday get away before Christmas. His birthday falls a week before Christmas and I always hate that it gets lost in the busyness of the season. This year was a milestone year and I arranged a surprise trip just for one night and we had a great time. A good friend of mine had spent some time there earlier this year (actually pre and during the hurricane) and had some great recommendations for me so I was happy to have some of the places easily picked out.
We loved our trip and enjoyed walking around the town discovering all that there is to see and do there. One thing that definitely caught my eye was this neat display and interactive installation.
