A bunch of people on Facebook are taking a challenge to post as their status every day in November something for which they are thankful for and I think that is a great idea. I go in spurts of doing things like that —kind of like my “happy” list that I have on here. I haven’t updated it for ages though I have heaps of things to report as happy things! So I guess maybe I should try this thankful thing!!! I will start it here but maybe migrate it to a separate page….we shall see….but for today:

I am thankful for the ability to see the beautiful fading fall colors on my trek to North Carolina. I take my eyesight, impaired though it is, for granted far too often. What my life would be without sight is something that I cannot imagine though there are many in this world who do not have this gift. And that is exactly what it is….a gift. So thanks, God.
