2. the first batch of Australian chocolate chip cookies made in my teeny tiny gas oven—a little flatter than the American version but tasty!

Just a few lines today—took a fantastic walk on the beach this morning—walking on sand is more of a workout so since I have been off for a few days I am going to have to work up to my usual walk! Whew! Saw several blokes fishing while I walked and picked up some shells (see the above picture for the start of my collection!).
Last night I made meatloaf –Chris has requested that I cook “normal food” after 2 months of restaurant froo froo eating so I am doing the basics! Today was the true test–the first batch of chocolate chip cookies. Now I know that does not sound like such a big deal but using a teeny tiny gas oven is a lot different than my electric ovens in the States but I did okay. I think we will do fine—at least I did not burn them!!! And they taste yummy even if they are a little flat—they are the chewy kind and I think Chris will be thrilled when he comes home tonight!! It doesn’t take much but that was what he asked yesterday when he got home—did you make cookies??? LOL
So life continues and we are blessed!!! Chocolate chip cookies, walks on the beach and seashell collecting….what more could I want???
