“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—And whether pigs have wings”
The time has come for……the North Iowa Farmer’s Market in Mason City! Woo Hoo! I am excited!!! I trotted on over to the Kmart parking lot today which is oh so convenient for me! Loaded with a pocket full of dollar bills and change and my favorite trusty Australian green bag in tow I ventured out looking for some great things and I was not disappointed!!! This is one of the things that we all need to take advantage of—buying local products, supporting those folks who work hard and are proud of their produce and products. Anyway, soon my bag was filled with rhubarb, asparagus, scallions and amazing tomatoes. Stopped by to talk to Camille of Soyphisticated Candles and also stopped and picked up some new Greek seasoning called Kusina Gold which the friendly ladies told me could be used on practically any meat, potatoes or anything you want to add a little bit of seasoning to. Fun time and great produce. I avoided the bakeries…sorry folks, but that just isn’t what I need at this point!!! But they are there should you choose to pick up some cookies, bars, bread, pies or whatnot!!! So if you live locally –check it out! If you don’t –find your own farmer’s market to support!!! It is worth it and the produce is awesome.
Oh yea—if you know where the quote above came from email me or comment and the first one who answers correctly will get a surprise in the mail…could it be a great soy candle from Soyphisticated Candles?????? You won’t know until you answer!!! Blessings!!!
