Share Your World 2015 – Week 50

share your world

Today’s post is thanks to Cee over at Cee’s Photography. I jump in on this blog hop every now and then and today seemed like the day to participate in week 50.  Here are this weeks questions and my answers.  Would love to hear any of your own answers in the comments section. Remember to Comment for a Cause.

Favorite thing to photograph? Write? Or Cook?

Favorite thing to photograph is probably anything related to nature.  I have had the opportunity to be in some pretty amazing places over the years and always am amazed at the beauty of nature.  This year as I usually do I made a photo calendar featuring some of my favorite pictures that I have taken during the year.  The range is vast –from a cow from  Sky View Farm to a various beach scenes to butterflies.

Favorite thing to write has to be either my devotional/inspirational pieces or my travel pieces.  I love to be able to document those travels in words as well as pictures and memories.

Favorite thing to cook is probably a good dessert.  This time of year I love to make cookies and even though I don’t binge on them I love to be able to gift them to people who seem to appreciate receiving them.

Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?

I did love swinging as a child and this past summer when I was in Lakeside, Ohio I took a little swing on the swings in the park there so I guess I still love swinging.

What has surprised you about blogging?

Probably what every other blogger says but it is true—it is all about the amazing relationships that I have made through blogging.  Some people fall by the wayside for one reason or another but it has been fairly consistent for me.  I still have a lot of followers who have been around for ages and I love to get new ones who I can add to my list of friends.  Some of the most authentic people and friendships I have have come about as a result of blogging.

List at least five favorite desserts.

  1. Mississippi Mud Cake
  2. Creme Brûlée
  3. Berry Cobbler
  4. Chocolate Lava Cake
  5. Pumpkin Pie

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for new friends where we live. Chris and I had dinner with our new friends, Lali and Rodney, and spent a delightful evening with them.  I am amazed at how quickly we have found some really good friends in our new area and look forward to making many more.

I am looking forward to getting the move out of the rental house in Alabama finished and the house in Brevard settled once and for all.  I will quite honestly be very relieved when it is all unloaded and positioned or given away.  I am also looking forward to having Aaron (and grand kitty, Diego) come this coming week–well I guess it will actually be next week but that just shows how excited I am .

Thanks for stopping by today!  I know you have tons of things to do today so thanks for taking the time to stop and read and comment.

I love that you call Diego our grand kitty! Our parents won’t call Trayse their grand dog. This had really fun questions. I get a lot of cooking/baking inspiration from you. Agree about how blogging connects you with really great people.

The only thing I have to object against with this post is that Creme Brûlée should be number 1 🙂 I enjoyed your post!

Oh okay! I agree. I really did not think about the order I put them in but yes–creme brûlée is the best! Thanks for stopping by!
