Sharing Some Local Love – Lézard Brevard in Brevard, North Carolina

15 Comments/ 549/ 1

Lézard Brevard in Brevard, North Carolina opened months ago but it took me until January to pop in to this local colorful and unique shop. Located at 2395 Greenville Highway it is a place I pass every time I go into town or come home and has always beckoned to me. Thank goodness a friend and I finally made a date to stop there.

This charming house is home to this unique shop.

It is said that a picture speaks a thousand words and in the case of this cute shop I know my pictures won’t do it justice. The shop advertises that is is home to relics and oddities, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, fiber and local art. They also do various class offerings including jewelry and glass painting.

But what about that logo and name? The name is in honor of the beloved indigenous Spotted Red Newt. Lézard Brevard honors the local newt by featuring it in their logo. Let’s take a look at some of the great items available for sale.

You know I love these teacup pin cushions.
I adore all things sea glass and am hoping someone takes the hint.
A perfect pottery tea set — one of many for sale.

The featured artists include Sandi Anton, Tom Anton, Kathy Hardy, Savanna LaBauve, Katie Lee and Beth Wilson. More information about each artist is available on their website. Owner Pam LaBauve has done a fabulous job of finding local talent and shoppers will be able to find a great variety of gift items for that special person or for something for their own home.

The store has so much jewelry that is reasonable priced and beautiful.
One of the classes that I hope to take is a wine painting class. Aren’t these
stunning? I doubt mine would turn out quite this well but I am willing to
give it a go.
I bought one of these for a gift for a young friend.
Perfect way to keep markers and colored pencils organized.
More fun fabrics and items available.
One of my favorite items in the shop was this tray filled with
beautiful dried flowers. It would make a lovely gift.

I don’t know why it took me so long to stop in – maybe I knew I would spend too much money. I do love shopping local and this is one spot that will now be on my list when I need that special gift or item. The shop is currently on winter hours and the best way to stay up to date with them is to follow them on Facebook and Instagram. I have included those direct links at the bottom of this post. You can also sign up to be on their email newsletter list through their website. Thanks to Lézard Brevard for allowing me to snap a few photos and to share their store with my readers near and far.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment and tell me what you think about Lézard Brevard. If you have visited I would love to hear what your favorite thing is that you found there.
