Savory Kielbasa Pasta Skillet
Ingredients:
1 pound package of any type of Kielbasa
8 ounces pasta—any kind works fine—I used penne for this recipe
1 package of chicken flavor boost (I used Swanson’s)
chopped colored peppers (optional)
2 cups fresh kale, collard greens or spinach (any green will work—just add for different flavors)
Directions:
- Boil pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
While pasta is boiling slice kielbasa into 1 inch segments and cook in 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet until slightly browned on both sides.
-
Prepare greens by washing and chopping into bite sized pieces. Drain and set aside. If using peppers wash and cut into chunks.
-
When kielbasa is cooked, add pasta and flavor packet to the skillet and heat through.
-
Add greens to the skillet as well peppers if including them. Stir and let wilt and cook a little bit before serving.
Easy and simple. A winner in our house.
