Kids say the darnedest things sometimes.
4 year olds are constantly surprising..
Time spent with grandchildren is never dull.
All of these statements are true and after spending 6 days over the holidays with our sweet Theo I am holding all the memories close and locking them up in my memory bank. But one is worth sharing with my beloved readers because it is just fun and who doesn’t need a little fun today?
Chris and I bought some really soft and cozy pajamas for Theo a couple of months ago. We had overbought for his birthday and decided to save some stuff back for Christmas. It was one of those dreaded “soft” packages that kids hate at celebration times. ( Ann knows what I am talking about, right?) Anyway, I had washed them up and one night when we were in charge while Mommy and Daddy went on a mini getaway I had them ready to put on him after an extended bath time. (Another Fama and PopPops indulgence). Theo loved them immediately and proclaimed that they were “soft and functional”. We about split our sides laughing but now that has become our phrase for anything these days. Why yes, that blanket is soft and functional. The cats are soft and functional. That chair is definitely soft and functional.
There are moments in time that I want to remember and this is one of them. Thank you, darling Theo, for the memory.
