A Special Gift – Teapot Tuesday

24 Comments/ 412/ 1

Teapot Tuesday marches on and today I am featuring a “new to me” teapot.   My collection continues to grow thanks to friends who find that perfect gift for me.  I am to the point where I am swapping teapots in and out, have boxes stashed under the eaves and in the garage, and know that someday I will have to part with them.  But for now I love my ever growing collection and love when someone sends me a photo of one that they find that makes them think of me.

When we came back from Ohio after a recent trip to see family I found this lovely teapot on my counter.  We have a very special young lady who takes care of our kitties when we are gone and she found the perfect teapot to add to my collection.

It is modern and sleek and lovely.   I am not sure where she got it but I absolutely love that she thought of me and left me a little present to come home to.  We are very fortunate to have found her and Buddy and Holly are in such great hands when we are gone.  I never have to worry about them because Allie is taking good care of them.

It’s a gloomy, rainy day as I write this post and I am thinking it is time to break in this new teapot and brew a nice robust pot of oolong.  Care to join me?

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
