Tea House on Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 94/ 0

We just got back from a week of travel.  Chris was working.  I was playing.

As usual.

He had a show in Las Vegas and we stayed at the Bellagio.  If you have ever stayed there or visited you know that they have some amazing exhibits that rotate during the year.  The current exhibit in the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardenvis Japanese Spring.  I will be doing another post later on the beautiful exhibit but today I wanted to share what was in the middle of the gardens.

A beautiful Japanese tea house all set up ready to enjoy.

The tea set on the table was all ready to serve up some wonderful tasting tea.   I loved that it completed the entire garden scene with something so traditional and essential to the Japanese culture.

Japanese tea ceremonies are an important part of life in Japan and the entire ceremony is just that.  A ceremony.
I think today is a good day to start a little tea ceremony of my own.

How about you?

Perfect! This is in such a peaceful setting too. When we had a Japanese student live with us, she made a tea ceremony for me. It was so lovely. xo

So nice. We have a cool little tea house here in the area and I keep wanting to go but still haven’t made it. Need to get my act together!

There is so little time sometimes to do the things that we want to do. Your girls would love that excursion I bet!

What a lovely burst of spring. (Winter storm warning in effect here at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Sigh.)
