Teapot Tuesday—-Sometimes Size Matters

Isn’t this just an amazing little teapot?  I found this special teapot on Ebay and immediately fell in love with the unique and beautiful designs that literally cover the porcelain.  The spout is uniquely shaped and the craftsmanship looked impressive from the photographs that accompanied the listing.

However I found myself wondering—what do the characters on the back of the teapot say?  Do they say “enjoy your cup of tea”?  Do they say “This teapot is made in China”? Do they say “These words make absolutely no sense whatsoever”?  I will probably never know what they say.  They might even say “You need to check the dimension sizes of items when you order” because I was actually very surprised with this package arrived.

As you can see this is a teeny tiny teapot and I probably would not have purchased it if I had paid attention to the listing specifics.  While it is cute and adorable sometimes size does indeed matter and in this case I am wishing it was large enough to brew more than a half a cup of tea!  Lesson learned, right?  Maybe I can repurpose it into something else. Suggestions?

My tea quote today comes from my friend, Darlene, who blogs at Darlene Foster’s Blog where she has just revealed some amazing and exciting news. She found this quote in her readings and passed it along for me and I had to include it this week. I love it and am grateful to her for sharing it with me.

Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time

the comforts of solitude

and the pleasure of company.
