Today I hope that as you BBQ and spend time with family and friends that you take a moment to say thank you for the service of all of those who have served our country, who are currently serving or who will be serving in the future.  No one can really understand what these men and women have sacrificed, the things that that they have seen that will be forever etched in their memories, and the pride that they have felt as they have proudly been a part of something that is a wonderful symbol of what the United States is all about.  Our country may not always be perfect but it still is the most wonderful place that I could ever imagine living. We have so many freedoms that we take for granted and many of these are because of the men and women who have sacrificed to make it so.  So today—give thanks .  And even if you don’t agree with everything that our military does at times remember that this is their job.  Thank a military person today for all that they have done.  I already did.
