If It’s Tuesday It Must Be Teapot Day!!! #9

15 Comments/ 2528/ 0

Today’s teapot from my massive collection (which has grown a bit over the past couple of weeks because I have found some really great ones I will be sharing with you later) comes from a department store when we lived in Pennsylvania.  I think it was actually Dillards or some such store.  I fell in love with it because it reminded me of It’s A Small World—that song that gets stuck in your head at Disney when you are waiting for hours in line.  Yea–-YOU know what I am talking about if you have ever been there. Anyway, enjoy.  Some of the purchase price actually went to Save the Children Foundation so it was a win win.

This is the last day for Comments for A Cause for UMCOR.  Check out this blog for more details on what I am doing.  Tomorrow I will pick a new charity PLUS I am planning a giveaway so you won’t want to miss the next couple of days here at It’s Just Life!!!!

What a nice Win=Win. You get a cool teapot and get to Save the Children! I have only one fun teapot and I’ll have to post about it one day. I’m switching from Heifer International to Doctors without Borders for next month. Thanks for the good idea.

Now you have that song stuck in your head, don’t you??? One of my Pennsylvania friends told me she has the same one!! And I think the store was Kaufman’s where I got it……don’t worry—I have enough to keep going for a lot more Tuesdays!

WOW this is great. It really does look like It’s A small world. “It’s a world of love and a world of hope!” I kind of live by that motto! which brings me to two things… one thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment for my son Jay about his story. It meant the world to him and to me. And secondly… speaking of Jay… have you (Perhaps you have in the past)eve thought about Autism Speaks as your charity? Obviously it is one that is near and dear to my heart! No matter what charity you pick I think it is great what you are doing!

Sharon–so good to hear from you. Loved Jay’s story and of course I have thought of Autism Speaks as my charity—not this month but it will definitely be featured!!! I have a niece who worked with autistic children for quite a few years before she got her counseling degree and I have supported her through all her fundraising walks, etc. so I am aware of what a great charity this would be to highlight. For awhile I actually had a button on my blog for Autism Speaks that would add donations if you answered some questions but I found out that no one really clicked on it so I took it off. 🙁 My next charity for June will be Meals on Wheels but I will definitely be featuring Autism at some point so make sure you come back occasionally!!! I really did love Jay’s story!!! Keep up the great work over at your blog!

Great post and you can’t ever pass up a “win win!” Also now that I have the song stuck in my head I figured I would share it back with you. However, now you can have the song playing on your speakers and a video to go with it!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGP-ckFH3ts&feature=related

Most of them I just have a teapot though a few come with cups. I would not have room if they all came with cups!!! I just ordered a new one off Etsy which I can not wait to debut!!!! You will love it!!!
