Three Words and A Song (Again)

16 Comments/ 3637/ 1

The blog transition continues and I am getting more and more savvy at figuring things out on the new design but we still have been unable to locate those missing posts from around the new year.  Where could they be?  As I wrote about here there were 5 posts that vanished into thin air–never to be seen again.  Oh they posted once but then somehow they mysteriously disappeared into cyberspace. My tech experts could find no trace of them—just the images used in them–so we just gave up.  I mean really—-I have written so many posts what are a missing 5 here or there?

However one of those posts was my post where I shared my traditional 3 words and a song that I pick out each year as my focus words and I had one request to repost those and I am in need of the reminder myself so here you go, Patti.

3 Words for 2015

3 Words for 2015

Be.  One of the definitions of this word is to have an objective existence.  That pretty much sums up what I want in life in 2015.  I want to have an objective existence.  I want to just be. Be in the moment.  Be in the relationships that I cherish. Be still and enjoy life.  Just be.

Fearless.  Another great word, don’t you think? I am striving to live without fear and to embrace the concept of being brave in all things in 2015.  I am going to step out of my comfort zone (I already have–aren’t you proud of me?) and live life fully without fearing the the unknown.  My life has been filled with the unknown in 2014 and I am sure that 2015 will be no different but I am going to embrace it and live fearlessly.  I am going to embrace opportunities and challenges and just enjoy all that comes my way.

Balance. A state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or have an equal or proper amount of importance. I need to seek balance in my life in all things.  Balance in not being overloaded with all things social media to the point where I neglect the day to day things that need my attention or more importantly — the people that need and deserve my attention.  I need to find that delicate balance of “me time” and ensure that I give myself plenty of room to grow in the areas that I need to grow without neglecting the things that are always needing to be attended to.  I would imagine a lot of  you strive for balance in your lives and it has to be a conscious effort to work towards a healthy situation where all things are in equal balance.

It really helps me to have words to be guided by during the year.  It is a huge reminder to me that I need to focus on them each and every day.

Of course I am a musical person as well and have to choose a song to have as my theme song during the year.  My ringtone is my theme song.  How can you not be happy when you hear this ring?
