The blog transition continues and I am getting more and more savvy at figuring things out on the new design but we still have been unable to locate those missing posts from around the new year. Where could they be? As I wrote about here there were 5 posts that vanished into thin air–never to be seen again. Oh they posted once but then somehow they mysteriously disappeared into cyberspace. My tech experts could find no trace of them—just the images used in them–so we just gave up. I mean really—-I have written so many posts what are a missing 5 here or there?
However one of those posts was my post where I shared my traditional 3 words and a song that I pick out each year as my focus words and I had one request to repost those and I am in need of the reminder myself so here you go, Patti.
Be. One of the definitions of this word is to have an objective existence. That pretty much sums up what I want in life in 2015. I want to have an objective existence. I want to just be. Be in the moment. Be in the relationships that I cherish. Be still and enjoy life. Just be.
Fearless. Another great word, don’t you think? I am striving to live without fear and to embrace the concept of being brave in all things in 2015. I am going to step out of my comfort zone (I already have–aren’t you proud of me?) and live life fully without fearing the the unknown. My life has been filled with the unknown in 2014 and I am sure that 2015 will be no different but I am going to embrace it and live fearlessly. I am going to embrace opportunities and challenges and just enjoy all that comes my way.
Balance. A state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or have an equal or proper amount of importance. I need to seek balance in my life in all things. Balance in not being overloaded with all things social media to the point where I neglect the day to day things that need my attention or more importantly — the people that need and deserve my attention. I need to find that delicate balance of “me time” and ensure that I give myself plenty of room to grow in the areas that I need to grow without neglecting the things that are always needing to be attended to. I would imagine a lot of you strive for balance in your lives and it has to be a conscious effort to work towards a healthy situation where all things are in equal balance.
It really helps me to have words to be guided by during the year. It is a huge reminder to me that I need to focus on them each and every day.
Of course I am a musical person as well and have to choose a song to have as my theme song during the year. My ringtone is my theme song. How can you not be happy when you hear this ring?

Leave a commentLove the 3 words you’ve chosen, especially Fearless. I could stand a good strong dose of courage for 2015, too! And “Happy” is a perfect song for the year — it’s so upbeat!
I liked the Happy song. I am trying to do things that make me happy.
The Happy song is also my ringtone so I love it that much!
Thanks, Debbie! I know a lot of people are tired of that song but I love it and it always makes me smile when I hear it. I have seen so many videos with different groups dancing along to it and I never tire of watching and hearing it. Thanks for stopping by.
That is definitely a “Happy” song!
I love your words and your song for the year. I know some people say that “happy” has been played way too much but I can’t help but perk up when I hear the song… love it still! 🙂
I can’t help but smile when I hear the song as well. It is actually my ring tone. 🙂
I’m glad you re-posted.

Balance is something I feel that I’m struggling with right now!
It is hard when you feel pulled in a zillion directions, isn’t it? I really have to settle down and focus or else I get distracted and pulled every which way.
I love the idea of having focus words for the year. One of my words is Balance also. I like having that short, easy reminder of how I want to move through the world this year. It’s a good mantra that stays with me.
Never would have considered Be, but geez, it really makes sense. One of my words this year is healthy. I need to get back into a healthy zone: physically and mentally. Best of luck to ya!
Healthy is a good word as well. I need to work on that one as well. Thanks, TBM!
I love this blog post, Beth Ann! Very good words and ideas. Great segment on the radio today too! http://www.kcmrfm.com
These are excellent words for the year! I love the song Happy too 🙂
