What Happens When You Let a Nine Year Old Have Your Phone

7 Comments/ 139/ 0

Last week I finally got a chance to go to Ohio to visit my sister and brother-in-law who bought a beautiful house with their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Who would have thought it would take a year and a half for me to get there when I was used to making trips to Ohio every six to eight weeks? It was a wonderful trip and I was thrilled to be able to spend time with them. It has been too long.

My great niece, Harper, is an amazing young lady, full of energy, dancer, tumbler, avid reader, and all around pretty neat. We took a walk one morning and she hijacked my phone/camera and what transpired were Shadow Selfies. First her own.

Then it was my turn.

Then my sister, Paula, took her turn.

Then we had to take a couple all together.

And finally a totem selfie.

Simple things that just make my heart happy. That’s what I count among my favorite things.

I love these images. Kids are so savvy with smartphones. Even my 5-year-old granddaughter. I’m happy you had this special time together. Theo next?
