Thany, is a (imaginary). word derived I am sure, from the Gaelic. Meaning with gratitude or… to thank. I also believe it was my imaginary friend who told me that. And in Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc. etc. etc….
Thank you for the explanation. I was unsure of the origin of thany. Now I am smarter because of you. This, by the way, is my all time favorite song—-I have sung it numerous times in church even with my friend, Ann, accompanying me on the violin which was awesome. I am going to have it sung/played at my funeral one day—hopefully a long time from now but you never know!!!
Karen—-I got hooked on all of the stuff that Robin Marks performs. I bet you would like his album “Revival in Belfast”. Check more of his stuff out on YouTube. Pretty incredible artist.
