Fun photo Beth Ann! I love me some round bales when they are sitting in the fields looking all rural beautiful BUT not when they are in front of me or passing me on a country road. How ARE those top bales staying up there? Good Morning!
At least if it fell off it would be a “soft” hit. I was just about hit by a brand new crib, still in the packaging, that flew off of the top of someones mini van. Talk about dodging a bullet. Yikes!
I have never seen that driving down the road here in Arizona…palm trees and mattresses yes but never hay rolls…that is hay right? Eesshhh..my city girl is showing 🙁
🙂 Yes–it is hay!!!! And lots of it. We always called it “shredded wheat” as kids because the bales looked like little squares of shredded wheat. That was for the rectangular bales, of course. Not sure what to call these!
Where in Arizona do you live??? I have a brother in Yuma!
LOL–I thought it was but thought I should double check..I have seen hay bales of course just not carpet rolls of hay haha I’m in Paradise Valley which is a little town near Phoenix…not far from Yuma! 🙂
Hey now you’re an All Star get your game on, go play

I was not thrilled, let’s put it that way!
Wow! I wouldn’t want to be behind that! It doesn’t look very secure.
Well…Hay!
Hahahhahahhahahah! That really did make me laugh, Cynthia! Thanks!
Looks like it is going to fall right off!
Mel, It looked that way to me, too!

I am not sure how they are all tied down but let’s just say I was very glad when they turned and we went straight!
Having faith and pushing the limits!
Michelle—that is one way to look at it for sure!!!
Oh my. That doesn’t look very stable. Have a good day!
I know!!! It made me very nervous!
You’re not kidding, are you? Another title for this post:
“Death by haying!”
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
LOL Yep. We followed at a distance!!!! This I shot at a stop sign!!!
That does not look at all safe. I mean, is that top bale even secured? It appears not. Yikes.
When he turned off the road I could see tie downs but it was very precarious! I was very glad he turned!

I don’t know how he stands living in Yuma. It is so hot. I would melt. I have a good friend who lives in Chandler that I need to make a trip to see……
Let me know when you come to town, we could meet for coffee!!! Chandler isn’t far at all! 🙂
Okey dokey!!!! 🙂
Now isn’t THAT terrifying. #29876 why I don’t like driving.
🙂 That made me laugh out loud!! What is number 29877????
oh my….yes, stay Well Back. that is definitely an over-sized load.
It was a bit scary to be honest!
Ah, danger! I wouldn’t trust that!
I didn’t. I was very glad when they turned off!
Just a reminder for everyone to take it easy and have caution on rural roads during this time of year!
Exactly!!! We kept our distance . The load was secured but it looked crazy from behind!!!
Thanks for contributing to Allison’s return trip to Honduras.
You are so welcome, Saundra! I am happy to welcome you guys all here!
I did not know for sure that it was hay as it did not have the right color. I have seen a lot of hay sicnce I grew up on a farm.
It was wrapped up in a greenish covering so it looked a little funny!
Hay…Crayzay!! Looks like the kinda trucks that pass me when I’m riding my bike down here on the Alabama back roads!!
That would scare me a bit to be on a bike and have something like that pass me! Yikes!
That is so scary! Like the movie final destination! This post is for Allison spruill
Brooklyn—it was all secured well, I think, but I really was glad when they turned off!
Thanks, Brooklyn! You don’t have to type it’s for me every time. 🙂
For some reason, this makes me homesick.
Awwwww….
Scary! But also, strangely beautiful. 🙂
I agree!!! It was a really amazing thing to see it going down the road but I admit I was glad that they turned off.
OMG, there’s no coming back from that if they should start to fall!
I know!!! I am so glad they turned.
Hay now.
