Wrapping Up

17 Comments/ 2865/ 0

Hello Friends!!!  The year is winding down, isn’t it?? Hard to believe as like many of you I will be kind of breathing a sigh of relief when 2011 is ushered out the door.  It has been an interesting year to put it mildly and I am certainly ready to leave behind some of the sadness associated with 2011  and move on.

The Christmas letters are waiting to be written until after the first of the year.  I just was not into it and it always makes me smile when I get a nice letter in January or February so hopefully that will work out.  Of course I will be paying more in postage, right?? Oh well.

The packages have been mailed. The baking done. The hair coiffed.  The eyes checked. The house cleaned. The reservations made and “all” I have left to do is pack today and I am out of here. I may not be blogging much unless inspiration strikes but that is okay.  You guys all have other things to do, right?

Thank you to all my bloggy friends who have become family.  Thanks for supporting my Comments for a Cause this year since April.  I, and when I say I, I actually mean Chris, since he is the one bringing home the bacon —have been able to donate to 9 different places this year because of your comments here.  Don’t forget that the West Ohio Food Bank is the recipient for December and I have gotten so many great people to comment who are involved with the Food Bank on some level.  Great place doing great things!!!

But all in all–thank YOU for tuning in, taking the time to read and offering your comments and support this year.  It has quite honestly what has kept me sane this year.   Or as sane I can ever be.  Thank you for helping with my mental health!!!!

Merry Christmas.  Oh and make sure you come back on Christmas Day for my all time favorite Christmas video!!!

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

The Good Girl

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
