A Glimpse into The Omni Grove Park Inn

7 Comments/ 103/ 0

Our 39th anniversary celebration was held at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. What started out as a celebratory meal ended up turning into a wonderful one night getaway to the beautiful and charming Omni Grove Park Inn. We had two lovely meals and made some memories.

The Omni Grove Park Inn has a lot to offer guests and while we were there we enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds (between rain showers) and also the facilities which are simply beautiful. Today’s post will share a few of the beautiful sights we enjoyed on our quick escape.

We even found a waterfall on the property. You know I love waterfalls.

While we dodged rain showers during our stay it was the perfect place to celebrate.

One of the new things we discovered were elevators that were built as part of the massive fireplaces. It was to cut down on the noise apparently.

The pictures don’t really show how massive the fireplaces are in the main hall. There are two of them and they are simply incredible.

Every window frames a beautiful view of the mountains.

Of course there has to be a little bit of mystery associated with places like this and The Omni Grove Park Inn has a story about The Pink Lady.

The Inn has been host to many famous guests over the years and their pictures line the hallways. F. Scott Fitzgerald even got his own little corner dedicated to him and his craft.

The Inn is also host to the National Gingerbread Competition every year. Last year it was held in a different way due to Covid- 19 but they still were able to hold it in a modified way. I hope we will be able to go see the display this year in real life and not just on line.

The 2020 winner of the competition was amazing.

The view from our room was pretty spectacular, don’t you think?

Thanks for coming along on a little celebration with me today. Leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause for American Macular Degeneration Foundation.

Beautiful! We were there once to visit my in-laws that were there for a work event. They were in the new section, but we explored!

Gorgeous. I love historical places like this. There’s just so much to see and learn. And the views – of course those are my favorite.
