Advent Brings Joy

7 Comments/ 73/ 0

Joy.

Joy is all around us. We only have to open our eyes and observe.

Joy is FaceTiming with our new grandson, Theo, as he sleeps on Micah’s chest.

Joy is seeing the lights shine on our deck Christmas tree.

Joy is a group of friends bringing Covid safe Christmas carols to neighbors.

Joy is baking and wrapping gifts specially picked out for loved ones.

Joy is making donations to local food pantries to help with those with food insecurities.

Joy is watching church services via live-streaming and hearing the voice of a former pastor singing a beautiful selection from The Messiah.

Joy is the anticipation of the birth of the Christ Child and knowing that He came and changed the world.

May you experience the JOY today.

Joy to the World!

Even during this odd and difficult time there’s much joy to be found. It’s. It always easy to see it but I think it’s import to look for it and appreciate it.

Joy is having a friend who points out simple joyful things when so many people are focusing on the negative. Thank you!

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
