Advent Calendars for All

8 Comments/ 218/ 0

Growing up we always had some kind of Advent calendar. There is just something about the magic of opening a little door to reveal the surprise that is tucked away hidden from little eyes.

Today it seems like there are all kinds of Advent calendars to help count down the days until Christmas. There are chocolate calendars, wine calendars, cheese calendars and my personal favorite the tea calendar. This year I discovered a new one…for cats.

Of course I had to snap one up for Maksim and Holly who will definitely have to share it.

Nom nom. Maksim loved his and hogged them before I could get some to Holly. But don’t worry – she got some later.

The kitties also got a new Christmas house from Target that they are enjoying.

Hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy whatever your Advent calendar has to offer. Let me know in the comments if you have one and if so what is behind the little doors in yours. I love the Christmas house and may have to go to Target to get one for Finn. I think she might like it too. 🙂

How great that Maksim and Holly got an advent calendar. We didn´t have them growing up. I didn’t even know about them until I was 18 and started working for a German woman who brought them in from Germany to sell in the gift shop. They didn´t have treats though, just seasonal pictures behind the doors. Then baby Jesus on December 25th. My kids always had them to countdown to Christmas. I love the Christmas house too.

I receive one from Lisa and it is wine in those ones.
I over thought the process trying to decide to start with window one or go backwards. She did 1 so I am doing the same to toast.

How cute is that?? Both the cat advent calendar and the Christmas house. I just have to laugh though as I’m thinking “if Beth Ann spoils her kitties like this, how spoiled will the new baby grandson be?” Ha! Don’t worry, that’s what grandparents are for!! 😉

I have a felt Advent calendar handcrafted by my Aunt Dorothy. I think I gave it to my eldest for the grandkids, but I can’t recall. I need to ask.

    Your kitties are spoiled. 🙂
