Animal Monday

8 Comments/ 450/ 0

I think we all need to just take a little pause today and enjoy some animal pictures. It always makes me feel better and I bet some of these will bring a smile to your face.

I have shared about the wonderful Shadowbrook Farm several times on the blog and almost always post a few pictures on Facebook when I visit. I go at least weekly to drop off kitchen scraps and spend some time petting some noses and scratching some heads. I can never get enough and I am so grateful to Mary Ann and Bill for allowing folks like me to pop by and love on the critters a little bit.

Check out the “slippers” on this chicken.

This goat…

Stony is a definite hog when it comes to carrots and apples. He nudges everyone else out of the way and dominates so he ended up with the majority of the treats on the last visit.

“Excuse me….I seem to be in need of a little grooming. I have something on my face…”

Of course no visit is complete without spending time with the guinea pigs. I always feel so popular when I visit them –they all come out from the nooks and crannies to feast on whatever I bring. This visit I had a bunch of baby cucumbers and peppers to share that were a bit on the too ripe side but they didn’t care one bit.

And this guy knows he is safe this month so he is happily strutting around.

Hope you enjoyed the farm today. What’s on your agenda for Monday? Tell me all about it in the comments and Comment for a Cause for Emergency Covid -19 Combat Service.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
