Designed to SHINE! Read Aloud Rhymes for Any Size Heart by Joy Resor

7 Comments/ 96/ 0

It’s book review time again and today’s book is a really fun and somewhat magical book that I can’t wait to share. If you are a fan of poetry, positive messages and really great artwork this is the book for you. It is not just a children’s book – I truly believe it is a book for all ages.

Author Joy Resor lives up to her name –splashing joy everywhere she goes and this book is beautifully illustrated by Lauren Connell to enhance the positive messages and affirmations that can be found in the pages.

The book contains 26 rhymes which definitely need to be read aloud. Beginning with A the first rhyme Attention urges the reader to pay attention to the day and to all that it brings.

“Are you ready to go? Are you set for a treat? THIS DAY OF ALL DAYS WILL NEVER repeat!”

How can that not be a great message for all ages? Pay attention to the day that will never ever repeat itself — in other words — make the best of it. Be your best self every day.

The book ends with Zest which author Joy Resor equates with spice and urges the reader to:

“Add spice as you can ICING ZEST TO YOUR DAYS!”

A little bit of information about the delightful author and yes – even though we have not met I can already tell she is delightful. I responded to a post on a local Facebook page requesting people to offer to read and review her latest book and she has been so gracious that I know she is a pretty amazing person without even meeting her in person.
