Aussie Love on Teapot Tuesday

15 Comments/ 98/ 1

I only bought one teapot when we lived in Australia and this is it.  Of course it had to have some red on it, right?  I have shared this one before on the blog but it is worth sharing again and again.teapot-9

The manufacturer is Rhubarb. What kind of fun name is that for a company?  I love it.  They had a whole line of products from china to linens so of course I managed to get a napkin to coordinate with my cute teapot.

I found this one in a shop in downtown Townsville.  I honestly don’t remember how much it cost or why this particular one was THE one I chose but it was and now has a place in my collection.

Gathering teapots from various places we visit makes me have a memory flashback every single time I see it or use it.  This one reminds me of hot sunny days walking on the beach outside our little beach house.  It also reminds me of geckos and frogs in toilets.

Happy Tuesday, friends.  Enjoy your day and have a cup of tea today and think of sunny days and beach walking.

One day I decided to try to have a complete day without tea. I was quite shaken. I was quite disturbed. – Morrisey, English singer and songwriter, Victoria Wood’s Nice Cup of Tea interview, BBC Television

This is one of my favorite teapots that you’ve showcased because of its simple artsy design.

It has nice clean lines and is so pretty. And red, of course. 🙂

How do you display all your teapots?

I have several large china cabinets and hutches that I display them in and on as well as a few bookshelves where there are some on display. However I do have a lot packed away. This kitchen does not have space above the cupboards like our old house –I used to have a lot there. But I rotate them in and out and vary the displays from time to time so they get dusted off and put on display at different times. Thanks for stopping by!

I really love the design on this one. And the red just makes it so cheery – which is what tea time should be.

As long as the geckos and frogs are not in the teapot, all’s good!

Yep! That would not be good to have boiled geckos or frogs!

It’s very cute. And I love the name too. It’s one of my favorite fruits! (I think it’s a fruit?)

I do love rhubarb as well. I think it must be a fruit but that is a good question to ask my friend Mr. Google.
