The Best of “It’s Just Life”

Leave a Comment/ 61/ 1

This week I am going to be sharing links to some of my favorite or most liked posts.  Today I am recuperating from the festivities of Micah and Wendy’s wedding and long before we left for the adventure I decided to not stress out about blog posts. I may be able to do some posts while I am gone but honestly I just want to experience everything so I may not.

It seemed easiest to do a ‘Best of” week and some of my newer readers may not have read some of the posts.  If you have, just skip over this week.  No worries.  There is never any expectation that every one reads every single word that I write.  Because that seriously would be a lot of words.

Today’s “Best Of” post is one that I have gotten the most comments on.  It is not one of my best photography posts at all and I really need to make time to redo the photos on it since it gets multiple hits every single day.  Perhaps its popularity is due to the Do It Yourself nature.  It has been pinned on Pinterest repeatedly and that is where I get most of the views on this particular post.

So here it is.  Click on the link below and it will take you right to the post.  Don’t forget to leave a comment.  Each comment this month means a 50 cent donation to Grin Kids.  (You can read all about that here.)

I have been making coasters like crazy lately.  I need to find some people to give them to.  Any takers out there? I first saw the idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a go.  I have been using the ones I made first for awhile now and they are holding up just fine so I think the process is pretty good and the adjustments I have made to make them a bit better seems to be working.  How about a step by step for those of you crafters out there who want to try?

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
