Books and Bloggers Swap Reveal

13 Comments/ 16/ 0

Didn’t I just write a post about having so many books all over my house?  Well, guess what?  Add 3 more to my stack on my nightstand after I got a couple of fabulous packages from my Chaotic Goddess Books and Bloggers Swap.Books and Bloggers swap

I “met” my new friend Lauren who blogs over at Oh Hey!  I Like That!  Lauren is a really fun kind of gal—my kind of person and after swapping a few emails back and forth I found out that she is getting married in the very near future.  Isn’t that just so exciting? That was so long ago for me that I got excited when I heard about her upcoming wedding.

Lauren picked out the perfect books for me.  I can’t wait to dig into all 3 of them and I love this swap because it really does open up some new books to me that I might not have checked out if they had not been given in a swapBookSwap

So what did she gift me?  Take a look and see if any look good to you as well.bookswap3

First up is the book that I had on my wishlist.  It has been on there for awhile and I am thrilled to be able to take it off the list and eventually put it on the “read” list. I can’t wait to start reading it.bookswap4

Next up is a book that Lauren picked for me that she thought I would love that she loved as well.  I think my friend JeniEats read this one and recommended it if I remember correctly and it has been on my list ever since. So you can imagine that I am excited to read this one as well.bookswap2

The third book Lauren sent me is another one that I think will be a really great one to read.  Steve Martin is a really amazing and talented man in many senses and I am thrilled that this one made the list to be sent to me.  Side note :  We are going to the Mountain Song Music Festival here in Brevard and Steve Martin often shows up to perform with the Steep Canyon Rangers so fingers crossed he will make an appearance when we attend.

Lauren also added a couple of goodies in my packages and I loved the little bonus gifts.  A sweet quartet of teas and the most adorable little page markers.  Both gifts are perfect, don’ t you think?bookswap5

Thanks to Lauren and to the ladies at Chaotic Goddess Swaps for sponsoring another really fun swap.  Make sure you check out their site because they always have something going on.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you are reading right now.  You know I need more book suggestions and it all counts for our September Comments for a Cause which you can read about here.

*A note to those of you who thought you already saw this post.  Well, you might have had a glimpse of it because I accidentally put the wrong date on the publish line and it posted yesterday.  Perhaps I have too much going on these days.  🙂

Fun! I’ve been wanting to read Let’s Pretend this Never Happened! And that tea looks pretty awesome. I’m a sucker for good packaging! 🙂

It is pretty funny and a bit irreverent but so far I am enjoying it. The tea is really good–I used a couple of the mint ones in my latest batch of iced tea and it made it even yummier! Thanks for stopping by, Kaylee!

One can never have too many books! Books are friends, who doesn’t want friends! 🙂
I have about 5 in my Kindle and two actual books on my night stand. I’ve actually read 2 in the past week! Amazing what can be accomplished when the kids return to school. ha.

I’ve read “Born Standing Up”; it’s funny. Now I’m looking forward to “Let’s Pretend This Never Happened”…OK to send it to me when finished, if real-world friends haven’t claimed it yet!

You’re package is great! I love Jim Gaffigan and saw his show a few weeks ago but haven’t read his books! Now I am putting that on my to-read list!
