One of the things I love about New York City is that plopped right in the middle is this amazing park that makes you feel like you are far away from the city even though you are in it. Central Park is simply an amazing place and no matter where you enter it, you will find a myriad of wonderful paths to explore and things to see.
We decided to take a quick walk to through the park after we checked into our hotel and on this visit we saw some totally different areas which was pretty neat. The spring flowers are blooming and it was a bright sunny day so the park was alive with activity.
We were thrilled to find this area that we had not visited before – The Hallett Nature Sanctuary – and enjoyed the shaded paths that led us through the trees.
.
We saw lots of wildlife including squirrels and birds including this woodpecker – can you see him?
.
It’s hard to believe this is all in the city, isn’t it?
.
Just beyond the park skyscrapers tower.

Thanks for coming along today to enjoy the view from the city.

So wonderful!
I love Central Park and make it a point to pop in for a stroll when we are in the city. 💕
It’s hard to believe this park sits in the middle of NYC. Whoever had the foresight to preserve this natural space certainly deserves many thanks.
843 acres of beauty! Fredrick Law Olmstead worked on the landscape design at Biltmore as well- what a talented man he was.
The one and only time I visited New York City, I loved Central Park. It was so hard to believe that this quiet, green, natural space was in the middle of a busy city. Your pictures are wonderful. Thanks.
One amazing and almost unbelievable aspect of NYC, isn’t it?
I agree- what a lovely breath of fresh air in the middle of the city!
I have always wanted to go to NYC but as of present I have not. My hubby had been on business. The main reason I want to go is to visit Central Park. Seeing your lovely pictures makes me want to go even more.
