Daughter Mountain Heaven

4 Comments/ 266/ 1

Don’t worry. I am not having a stroke. That title may make you wonder about me but it is all part of the story. My readers know how I love stories. Today’s story is about my exciting life here in Western North Carolina. Honestly, according to many I do live an exciting life but to me — It’s Just Life. And it is a very good life.

Last week I had my very first doctor appointment after going on Medicare. How exciting, right? That is one of the things about getting older –there are milestones to look forward to and this was one of them. I have a great doctor and her current staff is pretty wonderful. They do everything to make their patients feel comfortable and to answer every question that might be on your mind. I actually felt less anxiety going to this appointment than I normally do and my blood pressure reflected it. Yippee.

But with the baseline EKG and all the questions that were asked there were those other memory related ones. First up…..

.

.

Draw the numbers on the face of a clock and place numbers on the face at the appropriate time you are given. Passed that with flying colors. I wonder if the current generation will have a digital version years from now because I am not sure how often they use this type of clock.

.

.

The AI generated picture above should give you a hint of what my next memory exercise was. Remember 3 words you have been given. Mine were daughter, mountain, heaven . I passed and remembered them. Obviously I got easy words to remember and could imagine the three in my mind while I waited to be asked to repeat them.

So, what about you? Are you of Medicare age and do you remember your 3 words? I would really love to hear what they are. Inquiring minds and all that. Have a great week and know that you are loved. Leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause for Cyversity.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
