Fall at Biltmore – Part Two

14 Comments/ 83/ 0

Biltmore is beautiful any time of the year but this year my goal was to see it a couple of times. Chris and I visited in early October and I shared some pictures here of our our visit. It was beautiful but I wanted to go back when the mums were blooming.

We managed to make a quick trip on Halloween to see the mums up close and personal. I had seen on a Biltmore Fan Facebook page that the mums were in full bloom so off we went to soak it up. It did not disappoint.

The Conservatory

Remember that arbor from the first fall post? With the dangling squash or gourds or whatever they were? I think they might be luffa (loofah). There are even more things hanging down now. They kind of make me laugh – just not what I expected to have growing overhead. But if they are in fact luffa that is an amazing thing to grow.

How about some up close pictures of the mums? I have those as well.

Come back tomorrow and I will share a few more pictures that I took in the gardens. They are worth coming back for, trust me. Let me know if fall is over in your area –it is on the way out here as the last storm pretty much took all the leaves. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The Biltmore is definitely a place I want to visit again. The gardens were my favorite and I love how they change with the seasons. Thank you for always sharing your visits. I live vicariously through you.
Keep your fingers crossed that Ash will get into APP State – then I’ll be in NC a lot more. 🙂

It was nicer than I thought it would be this late in the season.
