It’s All Natural – Trains and Biltmore

6 Comments/ 132/ 0

One of the reoccurring themes at Biltmore centers around trains. But not just any trains. Special trains that traverse across amazing railway tracks with buildings and landscapes made out of natural materials. It truly is amazing what they are able to create out of natural materials and we have viewed several of their special train exhibits over the years. We were fortunate to get to see this outside display before it was taken down.

Looks like it was extended and we were able to see it without really realizing. it was there.

Hard to imagine that all of the materials used to create the landscape and buildings are natural.

It is fun to see the little information signs that accompany the display.

Of course the following one is one of my personal favorites since I have actually seen it.

The trains navigate amongst the buildings and on high tracks and low tracks. It is an engineering dream.

There are typical trains and ones that are cute like the bee above.

I guess I took more pictures of the buildings than of the trains.

Each one was so well constructed and we loved seeing them all.

Himejo Castle –Hyogo, Japan

Sometimes the unexpected find is the most fun. We went for Da Vinci and found trains. Perfect.

I don’t think the trains were there when I was, several years ago. But I saw a similar display at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids in December 2022. Model trains winding among buildings made out of natural materials, the buildings were replicas of buildings in Grand Rapids and other places in Michigan. It was really fun! The one at Biltmore looks wonderful too!

Wow. I would love to see this but don’t think I’ll make it up there before it’s over. I love the little bee train.
