London Fog on Teapot Tuesday

12 Comments/ 94/ 1

The weather here has been cold, wet and dreary. It is perfect weather for drinking hot beverages and I am happy to say that I have perfected the perfect hot tea drink. The London Fog. Earl Grey tea with a nice frothy, whipped, creamy topping. It is the perfect blend and oh so soothing.

The ingredients are few so just about anyone can make it.

1 Earl Grey tea bag

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or any milk of your choice

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

1-2 tsp. honey or sweetener of choice

Steep the tea bag in hot water for 3-5 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea.

Mix the almond milk and vanilla extract and steam or froth depending on what you desire. I have a frother so I used that but you can heat the milk on the stove if you don’t have one. It won’t get frothy but you still get the same effect.

Stir sweetener in the hot tea and top with the frothed milk.

I add a little cinnamon on the top of the froth for that extra little something.

Tasty and pretty as well. Come on over and I will make you one (or two).

It really is tasty and simple to make if you have a frother.

This looks perfect for a foggy, cold and dreary morning. That said, the sun is streaming bright here in southern Minnesota with the temp expected to reach 40 today. Yeah!

Yippee! It has been sunny here the past few days and the big snow piles are almost gone.
