Meet Me On Monday

7 Comments/ 1976/ 0

Thanks to Java who provided the questions today for Meet Me on Monday from Never Growing Old blog (sorry links are not posting correctly)—

Join in!!! Let me know YOUR answers:

  1. Have you (only you..not a group) ever won first place in anything?
When I was in grade school–4th grade to be exact—I won 1st place in the 4 H county fair exhibition for …wait for it……Snacking and Packing. I am the queen of snacking and packing if anyone cares. I had prepared an egg salad sandwich, carrot sticks, no bake chocolate cookies, white milk and maybe an apple. But the winning item—-a baby Tootsie roll tucked into my red plaid lunchbox for a little treat for later! I was interviewed and photographed for the local paper and was so proud of myself for winning. I still have the name plate from the trophy in a shadow box even though I finally parted with the trophy itself a while ago. Never mind that I sliced my fingers to smithereens when slicing the carrots—way before the advent of baby carrots. The picture in the paper showed my stringy hair and chipped front tooth but I smiled widely because I was so proud!!! And my snacking and packing skills have carried me well over the years….

  2. Are your toes always painted (sorry guys…this question for girls only)?
Yep! Even in the winter months painted toes make me feel happy!

  3. What color eyes do you have?
Well I used to automatically say brown but today I say Hazel as I think they have changed and depending upon what I am wearing color wise they seem to shift a bit. My husband loves my eyes if that makes a difference.

  4. Look to your left….what do you see?
A half filled coffee cup, an I Phone, a book, a Kindle and a tv remote on my nightstand.

  5. Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?
Would have to go with soft…..almost always soft.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
