My 2 Week Recap

33 Comments/ 3413/ 0

It has been a wild 2 weeks.  I woke up in my own bed, with my own husband (good thing, huh?) Drinking my favorite coffee.  Cuddling with my favorite cats.  Life is good!

I LOVE my life.  Can I just say that again?  I LOVE MY LIFE!   The past two weeks I have stayed in 5 different places and even though that makes it a challenge for packing I did really well this time packing exactly the right stuff and came home with only a couple things that I did not use.  WIN!

So what did I do the past couple of weeks???   I started off with a road trip to Ohio.  I attended a memorial service for a dear family friend.  I helped my sister pack for an upcoming move in June.  I flew to Florida and helped our son sort and pack his possessions for his move to NYC in August.  I flew back to Ohio and spent a few days with my mom.  I drove to spend a night with my sister in law and her family and picked up my brother in law for a 2 week visit and yesterday we had the epic drive from Ohio to Iowa.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks but filled with a lot of family fun and many memories were made.  Enjoy my photo journal of a few of the fun times!

This says it all.

There you have it!! 2 weeks in review!!!  The next two weeks will be fun with Carlton here.  He settled in just fine–was thrilled that we put a tv in “his” room and spent the evening opening cupboards and cabinets, freezer and fridge doors and exploring.   Life is good.

Come back tomorrow for the Comments for a Cause tally and reveal!!!

Can you see my big wide smile stretching all the way into Iowa. Everything about this post just made me happy, made me laugh out loud, made me smile. You, dearest friend, are blessed as are those who love you.

Aw–thanks, Audrey!!! That’s why the sun is out–you are smiling!!!! I am indeed blessed!!! Beyond belief. But for now I have massive laundry and grocery shopping with Carlton planned for later in the day. Gotta pick up his favorites—he was distressed I had no hot dogs…..

I’ll bet you’re exhausted. I’ll also bet your family members just love you. What a good sport you are. It looks like Carlton is doing well.

    Get some rest.

Oh my—Chris at least got the summer sausage ahead of time……it will be an adventure but then that is what it is all about!!! We have tons of things planned and he is so excited to be here with an entire basement of his own–a bedroom with a tv of his own, his own fridge in the basement, etc.!!!! He will be in heaven!

I can only imagine!!! One huge wonderful adventure for him. A place “all his own” means so much (to say nothing of the added tv and frig!!!!!)!

Oh he is in heaven, that is for sure. Other than the occasional cat coming down to keep him company he is enjoying the solitude, I think. We are having a good time already!

I’ve been wanting to try Synergy. Does it have a good for you taste? Looks like you worked your way across the country, but managed to have fun along the way. You would have lost me with the bubble wrap…I could not have resisted popping it and after a few threats you would have smothered me with it, I’m certain. Or at least tried as I popped my way free. Home Sweet Home. Good to go, and good to come back home!

It was actually better than I thought it would taste. A bit pricey (but Micah paid that day! 🙂 ) Oh I did my share of popping the bubble wrap…..don’t you think I didn’t!!!

I knew the toes with the red polish would be yours! What a busy 2 weeks. Glad you got some beach time in. Don’t forget to check the vents when Carlton leaves – remember he has a tendency to put garbage in them.
