Return to Dothan Area Botanical Gardens

12 Comments/ 20/ 2

Dothan Area Botanical Gardens has to be my favorite spot to explore when I go with Chris to Dothan, Alabama.  The perks of being able to travel with him during the year are many but honestly when I get to go to Dothan the trip is not complete until I visit DABG.

This past trip did not disappoint one bit and I was thrilled to find an addition of a play area since my last visit .  Of course I had to take a selfie with one of the fun features in the playground.

The flowers are blooming up a storm and the roses were especially gorgeous on the day I visited.

I can’t imagine how many hours of work volunteers spend here each year keeping the gardens looking their best.

There is an area where they grow veggies including my favorite brussels sprouts.

There are so many different types of flowers and blooms anytime I visit.  It is always changing.

A trip through the enclosed tropical greenhouse was enchanting. The blooms were gorgeous in here.

I loved how I captured the water droplets on this exotic bloom.

There is just something so beautiful about the gardens here and I am always inspired when I visit.

I hope you felt a bit inspired by my pictures today.  Go enjoy a walk in nature today. Don’t wait.  Even if it is not the view that I had at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens I am sure you can find some beauty where you live.

Do you have a favorite place that you go back to time and time again to see how it changes?  Tell me all about it in the comments section and remember that each comment means 50 cents towards our Comments for a Cause this month.  Read more about it here.

You just love this place, don´t you. It is very lovely. Love the gorilla! Going for a coffee overlooking the Mediterranean does it for me.

When in Raleigh you need to stop by Raulston Arboretum. It’s near the fairgrounds and a little gem.

I would love this place. Oh, the art, the flowers, the everything naturally beautiful.

Since my daughter now lives near Como Park and Conservatory, that is becoming a go-to place for me when I am in the metro.

Bright colorful artistry and an eye for the right shot, as usual, in your pictures Beth Ann.

Is that just your cell phone taking these wonderful shots?

This time it was my cell phone. I was pretty lucky with some of them –especially the ones with the water droplets.
