Rogue Jewelry

6 Comments/ 2328/ 0

I want to know what goes on in my jewelry box.  I think there is something major going on in there.  How can a necklace, that gets placed carefully into a little plastic bag, end up going rogue?  It happens far more often than I think is normal.

I try to take care of my jewelry.  I really do.  I try to be responsible.  I have a lot of jewelry that did not cost much. But I do have some pieces that are near and dear to me for sentimental reasons.  One of these is an emerald necklace.  It used to be an emerald ring.  Chris’s Grandma Betty gave it to me before we were even married. It was her grandmother’s ring.  I decided that I would rather have it as a necklace because I only wear my wedding / engagement set and an anniversary ring.   Once I got the anniversary ring I never wore the emerald.  So into a necklace it went.  I love it but I hardly ever wear it anymore because it is gold and I usually wear silver.   Silly, I know.

But I decided that I needed to get it out and pack it up and when I took the little baggie out of the jewelry box this is what I found.

How does that happen??? I put it in the bag carefully, unknotted, and then months later when I take it out it is in this ridiculous knot that needs a professional knot remover to fix.  How does this happen?? If any of you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

As always I bring you the earth shattering things that are happening in my life.  Have a great Labor Day while I labor on unknotting my necklace.

That looks like quite a knot! Very strange how that happens but I try to spread mine out flat if at all possible.

It’s funny that Becky would mention the missing socks, because that’s where I was going to lay the blame for the knots…on the naughty socks.
