Seriously?

Leave a Comment/ 8/ 0

What kind of blog post is one that is entitled Seriously? Really? I must be grasping at straws but today I am choosing to NOT be serious. Thanks to my friend Janet, I found a new favorite sticker.

.

.

When she shared her latest sticker on her car I laughed out loud. I mean it is pretty perfect, isn’t it? I love the expressive look on the frog and the sentiment is absolutely 100%. true. It just lifted my spirits and it was just what I needed.

Going to the mailbox today I found 7 political advertisements. Totally unsolicited on my part, of course, because Chris and I have already voted and there is no need to try to sway us at this point. Never mind the insane political ads that bombard us anytime we turn the television on. They immediately go on. mute. So maybe that is why the bumper sticker made me giggle. A nice reprieve in the seriousness of life and the state of the nation. So that is what I am going to focus on. Fun times like shopping with my friend Lynn for Christmas Blessings for Sharing House, lunches with good friends and adventures with Chris.

.

.

Of course there is plenty going on in my house that is NOT serious. Mainly Misha who gets into predicaments daily.

.

.

.

Finally, imaginary friend and fellow blogger, Katybeth, sent me a surprise “disco ball” candle holder that I have in the living room. Every morning when the sun hits it just right, it lights up the room with bright spots of light on the ceilings, walls and furniture. I absolutely love it and it brings me so much joy. I always tell Chris when it is disco ball time. Funny how a small thing like this makes me happy. You can see a bit of it in the following picture.

.

.

There you go – a little less serious post but one that will hopefully motivate you to look for the things every day that make you smile. Enjoy your weekend and your adventures.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...
