Share Your World – 2015 Week #27

17 Comments/ 4018/ 0

041514-sywbannerIt has been awhile since I have participated in Cee’s Share Your World .  Cee is Cee from Cee’s Photography Blog, of course and she hosts a lot of great challenges for us to try  out here in the blogosphere to join.   This challenge does not require photos but if you have them you can include them.  If you want to join in the fun on your own blog just click here and make sure you link back to Cee’s blog as well.  Or just answer in the comments here so I can share your world as well.

What is your favorite month of the year?  Without a doubt it has to be April.  April is my birthday  month but it also signals the start of spring like weather to me.  I love when the spring flowers start to pop out and the grass begins to pop from winter dead to spring life. The trees are beginning to shed their winter look and by April it is starting to look alive again.  flowers

Do you drink coffee at all?  YES!.  I am starting my morning with a cup right now as I type this.  In our new house Chris has decided we need to have a dedicated coffee bar and I am excited about creating the perfect space in the kitchen for that. Right now this is our set up.coffee

What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)? Well, shoot, those were my first two moneymaking jobs!   But after that I worked at the infamous Dairy Burger in Norwich, Ohio.  Started out at $1.10 an hour and worked with friends serving soft serve and doing grill work.  It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about a lot of things.  I also learned I loved Conn’s potato chips and fondly remember Mr. Conn’s.

List: If you play video/computer games list 5 games you like?  Do Facebook games count?  I don’t play computer games other than Solitaire occasionally but I am somewhat addicted to Words With Friends.  My list is very small.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I am grateful that Chris was home for 9 whole days this past week because we got a lot done in preparation for our move which is coming up in less than 2 weeks now.  I am looking forward to spending some time with friends this week and of course some time with my North Iowa Blogger friends.  And yes—I am grateful that we rented a dumpster this past week as well.  Where does it all come from? dumpster

I know–right? Our counter space is a bit smaller at the new place and this will clear that up a bit AND have a dedicated space just for that!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Don’t have a favorite month, love fall though. The cool, watching the earth prepare for winter.
Love coffee, but trying to add a day off of tea, so I can have a mix. Love my tea too.
First job was Grandys. But I loved my first office job with an appraisal office.
I keep Happy Street on my phone. Guess I prefer games where you builD an area of your own of some sort.
Having your children is always a plus, Beth! Looking forward to mine coming next month. Grateful for time with my girls on time past and coming.
    Thanks for sharing, Beth!

I’ll answer the first job question. Other than babysitting and walking beans, it was detasseling corn for $1.25/hour. Worst job ever.

Oh I have heard stories about detasseling. None of them good.

You will be more than welcome! Anytime! May be a little rough the first month or so till we get settled but hey—the weather will still be better than Iowa weather later on!

You were so efficient this week! And it was so fun to see some of your belongings go to new homes where they will be loved all over again:)

They have found good homes. That makes it easy to give them away.

Your comments are intelligent enough! Thank you so much for supporting this fabulous project! I love that you sat down and read every single post (or skimmed at least) to help out the garden. Kudos to you!

Old Girls in Low Cotton
