Teapot Tuesday

14 Comments/ 530/ 0

If you have followed It’s Just Life for any amount of time you know that I have a teapot collection.

It’s not just any teapot collection, mind you.  It is quickly becoming the collection that tops all collections and that is mainly because I have so many friends and family who gift me fabulous teapots.

Recently my sister sent me a box of goodies.  We do that every now and then.  I usually have a box in my office that I add things to over time that I find that I think Paula would like.  Sometimes it is just a box of books I have read and am ready to pass on. More often it contains some scrapbooking items, crafty things, smiley face items,  coffee, chocolate or other things I find that make me think of her.

We don’t get to see each other that often and when we do I am often flying so I can’t take things with me.  It is always a nice surprise to get an unexpected box of goodies, right? So when I opened the most recent box from my sissy I was thrilled to find a teapot.  She has gifted me quite a few over the years but this one is such a cute one, don’t you agree?

This was a teapot used in a Teleflora arrangement and can you believe that I have never gotten a teapot floral arrangement?  I have quite a few teapots in my collection that came from various bouquets but I have never received one in an actual teapot.  Shocking, I know.  teapot4-4

So tell me – do you like this one? Do you think it would serve up a nice cup of tea?  I have yet to brew anything in it but give me time and I will. As always thanks for stopping by It’s Just Life today.  Don’t forget to Comment for a Cause.

“As the sky prepares to settle its tired, aching feet
into the night’s velvet slippers

I settle, into my armchair, soaking the teabag,
of my thoughts, into warm liquidy stars.”
― Sanober Khan, A touch, a tear, a tempest

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
