Teapot Turkey Tuesday

8 Comments/ 808/ 0

I always have to share my turkey teapot during Thanksgiving week. It’s my one Thanksgiving themed teapot and he appears this time every year. I know you will remember him. He makes me smile and even though he doesn’t pour really well out of his tiny spout he has a place on my table this week.

I recently placed an order with my favorite online tea company, Adagio Tea, and they are always super great about including a surprise in my shipment. Everyone loves a surprise, right? This time it was a week of tea from their CommuniTEA program.

This program ( available for $19 a month) allows the subscriber to experience different teas blended by other members of the community. The community can then share their thoughts about the selection of the day by rating it with either a thumbs up loved it rating or a thumbs down hated it rating.

Members are encouraged to snap a picture of their cup and submit it to the community as well as submit more comments which help to earn points for that member that can be used toward future products. It is a great way to find new tea blends and find out what you love and what you don’t. I am not planning on joining (I have a huge tea stash currently) but I loved getting a sample and being a part of the community for a week.

This year they have added a way to include some friends by offering a little set that will be the perfect stocking stuffer. A little box of 5 teas to enjoy in January. You know I bought a couple of these to share this Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by today – hope your day is filled with happiness and a nice cup of tea or two.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
