Teaser Tuesday

11 Comments/ 2061/ 0

Found this great idea through Polychrome Interest today who links to a Tuesday Teaser at Should Be Reading.  The idea is to simply open a book you are currently reading and share 2 random sentences from that page. So here it goes!!!  Join in if you want by adding your “teasers” to my comment area!!! Would love to hear what you are reading!!!   Make sure you include your book title and author!

Here’s mine!  From Until It’s Over by Nicci French.

Miles stared at me, still unable to speak.  He swallowed.  ‘Our last words were bitter ones,’ he said. ‘Whenever I try and remember her, I think of that.’  ‘It’s not the last moments that count,’ I said helplessly.  ‘It’s all of it.’             Page 200

Kamasky was looking into my eyes.  His lips seemed to be out of sync with what he was saying.  And although he was so close to me that I could smell the coffee on his breath, he also seemed far away, separated from me, as if through glass.  I felt like a fish in an aquarium and he was on the other side of the glass, staring through it at me.   Page 175

There you go!!!  I am totally enjoying this book.  Let me know what you are reading!!!   And if you want to see what I have read so far this year check out my Books Read in 2011 link!!!

We always participate in this meme too.

Here’s ours this week from “Turn Of Mind” by Alice LaPlante and “Red Hook Road” by Ayelet Waldman: http://ourstack.blogspot.com/2011/07/tuesday-teaser-turn-of-mind-and-red.html

yaii…welcome to TT, Beth Ann 🙂
Glad you decide to join. However, don’t let my teaser deceive you. I put 2 teasers because I love those 2 a lot…but actually we don’t have to put 2 teasers, in fact it’s a bit cheating 😉

I love the second teaser. well written.

This year I have read 3 books by Janette Oke and Davis Bunn (a series) that I highly recommend: The Centurion’s Wife; The Hidden Flame and The Damascus Way. I have also read the following:
The Year She Fell By Alicia Rasley
Mermaids in the Basement by Michael Lee West
Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore (very good)
See You in a Hundred Years by Logan Ward (Good)
    The Help By Kathryn Stockett
Little Bee by Chris Cleave (Dark but good)
    Easily Amused by Karen McQuestion
    Forevermore by Cathy Marie Hake

Can’t keep up with you on the reading front Beth Ann….. but I got some good ideas from you. Take care…
